Living in the dorms while attending Gaelic Roots is a convenient way to have
easy access to all classes, evening programs, transportation to off-campus events
and all other Gaelic Roots activities. It is also less expensive than staying
in hotels and B&Bs in the high priced Boston market. However, if you chose
to stay in the dorms you should remember that these rooms are functional but
they do not comparable to modern day hotels and do not have the conveniences
you would find in a hotel. If you do not think you can adjust to living in a
dorm, please see our Off-Campus
Accommodations list on our Web site.
Campus Housing (rates per person):
Double occupancy 7 nights
$260
Double occupancy 6 nights $225
Double occupancy 5 nights $185
All rooms are part of a 2- or 3-bedroom suite. All suites have a refrigerator,
sink, eating & lounge area, and air conditioning (kitchen utensils are not
provided in the suites). Linen service will be provided but blankets are not
available. You MAY wish to bring a blanket, radio, alarm clock, coffee/tea maker,
dishes, or utensils to make your stay more comfortable. Coin operated laundry
machines are available on the first floor of the dormitory. Each room is equipped
with an active phone jack but you will need to bring your own phone. You will
need a phone credit card for long distance calls.
For classes you should bring a small tape recorder (with extra batteries), manuscript
paper & pencil, and extra strings or dance shoes "just in case".

Food Service at Boston College:
Boston College has a full service cafeteria across the street from the dorm;
for all students, teachers and guests. It opens at 7:30am and closes at 6:30pm
7 days per week. It serves a large variety of foods including a daily salad
bar, short order counter and hot meal service. Snack foods and orders to go
can also be purchased in the cafeteria. There is also a second cafeteria (serves
lunch only) near the Carney Building, the location of most of the Gaelic Roots
