How It Is Now / How It Will Be in the Future  

As part of its campaign to get striking workers and peasants back to work, the provisional [socialist] government issued this poster shortly before elections to the Constitutional Convention. With the empty shelves on the left contrasted with the filled store on the right, the poster argues that only hard work will bring about a change.

The text on the left reads: "We have become poor and can buy only very little for much money [i.e. Inflation]." The text on the right says:: "We must once again become rich so that we can buy many goods for little money." And in the triangle at the bottom the message is spelled out clearly: "How will we bring about this change? By producing goods ourselves, by preserving order, and by
