Germans, defend yourself against Jewish Atrocity-Propaganda

Buy

only from Germans!

This is the poster which the Nazi party -- especially the SA -- mass produced on 30 March 1933, and plastered all over German cities.

In keeping with the general theme that this boycott was a "defensive" response, it accuses the Jews of spreading atrocity stories about the way the SA and other Nazi units were mistreating German Jews.

On the day before the boycott, Hermann Goering, Governor of Prussia, called in representatives of Jewish organizations and strongly urged them to inform their fellow Jews living abroad that no such atrocities had occurred. A number of such telegrams were sent out, and this fact may have played a role in persuading the party from keeping the boycott gtoing.
