  • John Heartfield, Berlin
  • Hugo Eberlein, 30" x 20"
  • 1930

This is one of the most famous KPD posters of the Weimar Republic. It was designed by John Harzfeld, who had anglisized his name to John Heartfield to show his disgust for the German Republic.

Under the five fingers of this outstretched hand, the caption takes up the message.

The Hand has 5 Fingers

With 5 you can slug the enemy
