Town Hall, Aalst (Alost)

The town hall of Aalst was begun in 1225, but only the left and rear walls and some of the lower portions survive from the first days of the building. The current structure dates most from the early fifteenth century. The belfry, which is incorporated into the building, was finished in 1466. The corner gallery at right was added in 1474, and was used for proclamations. It is in a flambuoyant Gothic style.
Town Hall, Oudenaard (Audenarde).

The town hall at Audenarde is almost as ornate as that at Leuven, with a prominent central tower over the main entrance. It was designed by Henri van Pede, and built from 1527-30.
