The Boston College Recreational Day Camp is open to children ages 7 to 12 year old. Camp hours are from 8:30AM to 3:00PM. Our programming combines a variety of sports and recreational activities. Campers will benefit from exclusive use of the pool through lessons and open swim as well as instructional tennis. Deadlines

• Registration opens May 4, 2009.
• Each session is limited to 40 campers. Enrollment will be filled on a first come first served basis.
• Full payment or $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your enrollment.
• $50 discount for 3rd child of each family registering.
• Payments are accepted via check, or credit card (via phone) through Member Services.
• Please make checks payable to BCAD.

Philosophy
Taking part in the Boston College Recreational Day camp, children will be exposed to a safe and fun outlet in a variety of sports activities.  As with the Boston College tradition, we strive to follow the motto ‘Ever to excel’.  Each session is dedicated to give the children a sense of accomplishment and personal achievement.  Through various activities and interactive participation, we will lay a strong foundation, one that involves our camps standards of excellence, a positive attitude, confidence, good judgment, honesty, cooperation, and respect.

Camp Information
This camp must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the local board of health. The camp staff includes experienced individuals who have undergone background checks and at least three positive references.


Drop-off and Pick-up
Check-in for Camp will begin at 8:30 am. The designated dropoff and pickup location will be at the Flynn Recreation Complex outdoor basketball court located adjacent to the Mod parking lot across from the Commonwealth Avenue parking garage.  You may enter campus through the St. Ignacio entrance.  Camp staff will be visible in the Mod parking lot just outside the outdoor basketball court of the Flynn Recreation Complex and will be available to answer any questions.

How many sessions can I register my child for?
You can register your child for as many as you would like. 

What age groups can attend the camp?
Campers must fall between ages 7-12 years old as of July 1st. Due to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Minimum Standards for Recreational Camps for Children, there is a required ratio of supervisory staff to campers for children under the age of 7. In addition, in consideration of the safety of the children enrolled, the structure of the camp activities is specific to children in the 7-12 year old age range.

Is there a discount for Boston College Faculty, Staff or Alumni?
No. Discounted camp tuition is offered to summer members of the Flynn Recreation Complex. Additional discounts are offered to families enrolling three or more children per session.

Does your camp qualify as a flexible spending account (FSA) or dependent care expense?
The cost of the camp may qualify as a tax deductible dependent care expense. Please contact your tax consultant. For further questions regarding your FSA, contact the Boston College Benefits Office at 617-552-3329.
