Printers, Scanners, Computers, and More
The BC Law Library houses a wide variety of technology in order to serve the faculty, staff, and students of the Law School. Explore the tabs below to learn more. Brian P. Lutch Computer Center
Located on Level 3, Room 300, the Computer Center is primarily a facility for individual student use, but may at times be reserved by the Law Library staff for training and educational programs. Every effort will be made to give advance notice of times when the Computer Center will be unavailable. The Computer Center is equipped with 10 Windows workstations, 3 Macintosh workstations and 2 Pharos print release stations. All Computer Labs are Food & Drink Free Zones.
Public computers are located on Level 2 of the Law Library.
iPad kiosks for accessing the library catalog and other library resources are located in the following locations:
- Level 1 - at the Pharos print staion (outside Room 100)
- Level 2 - at the Information Desk
- Level 3 - at the Pharos print station (outside the Lutch Computer Center, Room 300)
- Level 4 - at the Pharos print station (outside Room 400)
A self-service KIC-Start scanner station is located next to the Information Desk. The scanner is free to use, and you may save the scanned documents to a USB flash drive or you may e-mail the documents to your BC email account. The scanner can scan book pages or individual sheets of text. (Please note that scans from the KIC scanner can only be sent to a BC email address.)
Traditional flatbed scanners are available for use in the Lutch Computer Center on Level 3 - room 300, as well as the computer labs on Level 1, Rooms 153 & 155.
Pharos Print Release Stations
Release stations on the Law School campus are located on all levels of the Law Library. Print jobs can be sent from any lab, library public access computer, or personal laptop and can be accessed at any print release station in the Law Library or at any Pharos print release station at the University. Install the Pharos software for printing on your personal laptop. Use your ID to release your print jobs. The University provides a quota of 500 pages of free printing each semester (fall and spring). Printing requests made once the University quota is exhausted are charged at 3 cents per page (double-sided printing is charged as one page). Mobile Device Charging Station
Is your tablet or cell phone battery low? Recharge and lock it up in our device charging station located on Level 2 near the Pharos printers. Various laptop and device chargers are also available for check-out at the Information Desk.
Located on Level 3, Room 378. The Skype room can be reserved for your Skype call during regular library business hours. Please make a reservations through the study room reservation system.
