Why BC Law?

Collaborative

BC Law’s culture of inclusivity and support extends to every corner of our campus, yielding better learning outcomes and lasting relationships.

Our close-knit community is home to nearly 800 students. In our Fall 2023 entering class, 51% identify as female, 49% as male, and 35% as students of color.

BC Law faculty aren't just experts in their field; they're devoted teachers and mentors. Our 8.3-to-1 student/faculty ratio ensures personalized attention for every student.

Our campus hosts nearly 40 active student organizations, including the Latin American Law Students Association, Veterans Association, and Women's Law Center.

If you want a place that fosters learning in an open and collaborative environment, this is it. Students study together, professors hold group office hours, people share materials and notes with friends who miss class, and ultimately care and look out for one another.

Principled

We educate responsible leaders who use their law degrees to effect positive change in a range of corporate, philanthropic, and judicial roles.

BC Law students provide pro-bono legal assistance to immigrant, low-income, and other at-risk populations through experiential learning clinics and the Legal Services LAB, a fully functioning law firm within BC Law.

Over the past four years, students and faculty helped secure the release of seven wrongly incarcerated individuals through the Boston College Innocence Program.

Our Public Service Program encourages students to discover and develop their talents for advancing the public good through their chosen legal path.
