Visiting Students

Each year, BC Law admits a select number of applicants as visiting students. Visiting students must have completed two years of study at another law school, and they will receive their JD from that school after completing their third year at BC Law.

Application Requirements

The following materials are required:

  • Completed visiting application, submitted through LSAC
  • Nonrefundable application fee of $75.00
  • Letter stating your reasons to study at BC Law for your third year
  • Letter from the dean of your current law school stating that your current school will accept BC Law credits and award you a JD
  • Transcript of all completed law school courses and grades
  • Letter of good standing from your current school

Application Deadlines

Visiting students applying for the spring semester must submit their application by November 1. Visiting students applying for the fall semester must submit their application by August 1.

Bar Requirements

There are character, fitness, and other qualifications for admission to the bar. Before you apply, determine what the requirements are in the states where you intend to practice.

Financial Aid

As a visiting student, you pay tuition and fees to BC Law. However, your current school awards all financial aid.

You must submit a consortium agreement form to the BC Law Financial Aid Office to determine your eligibility for financial aid based on our cost of attendance. Contact our Financial Aid Office for more information.
