Sheila Tucker

Profile

Sheila Tucker, M.A., RD, CSSD, LDN, is an instructor at the Connell School of Nursing and registered dietitian. She is board certified as a sports nutritionist with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Prior to becoming a full-time faculty member in 2016, Tucker combined part-time teaching in both the Connell School of Nursing and Woods College of Advancing Studies with a clinical nutrition practice on campus.

Tucker was the Executive Dietitian and Nutritionist for Dining Services and the Office of Health Promotion as well as the Performance Nutritionist for Athletics. Her current teaching in the Connell School of Nursing focuses on the role of the nurse in providing nutrition care as part of medical nutrition therapy and across the lifespan. Tucker also teaches a wellness nutrition elective in the Woods College of Advancing Studies.
