Timothy Karcz

Assistant Director Timothy Karcz works with the Center's co-directors, affiliated faculty and undergraduate research assistants on planning and implementing programmatic initiatives of the Center.  He also manages operations of the Center in their various dimensions. 

Prior to joining the Center, he worked in the field of international public health, where he was a Project Support Officer supporting health programs related to maternal and child health, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS and pandemic influenza in Latin America and Africa.

He has also worked domestically at the community level, serving as project coordinator in founding a transitional housing program for women with children transitioning out of homelessness in the Merrimack Valley region of Massachusetts.  Tim has also worked with immigrant populations in the US, serving as a citizenship caseworker in California during his time in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, and is fluent in Spanish.  He has also studied abroad through university programs in El Salvador, Nicaragua and Barcelona, Spain.

He holds a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration from Boston College.
