Senior
Erika Reineke was named NEISA Sailor of the Year following the Reed Trophy Regatta. Reineke has earned the Sailor of the Year honor twice in her career. The only other sailor to earn the honor twice was former BC sailor and US Olympian Annie Haeger.
Reineke along with teammate Ally Donahue earned First-Team All-NEISA Skipper honors while Lizzie Bohan was named a First-Team All-NEISA Crew.
NEISA Women's Championship/Reed Trophy
Results
Boston College placed second with 121 points behind US Coast Guard at the NEISA Women's Championship / Reed Trophy Regatta this past weekend. BC qualified for the ICSA/Sperry Women's National Semifinals which will be held on May 23-24, hosted by the College of Charleston.
BC's A Division team of
Erika Reineke and
Allison Ferraris had 63 points to finish first, while US Coast Guard finished with 67 points for second place. In the B Division races, the BC tandem of
Ally Donahue and
Lizzie Bohan placed second with 58 points, while the US Coast Guard was first with 45 points.
Boston Dinghy Challenge Cup
Results
BC placed second at the Boston Dinghy Challenge Cup hosted by MIT this past weekend. BC posted 154 points over the two day race while first place finisher MIT had 153 points.
The regatta came down to the B Division race. BC's
Scott Sinks and
Lily McGrath placed second but MIT's boat finished eight, which gave the Engineers the one-point victory and cup championship.
The A Division team of
Harry Koeppel and
Hannah Lynn placed fifth with 78 points, while MIT won the division with 50 points. In the B Division, Sinks and McGrath won the division with 41 points. MIT was second and Tufts jplaced third with 66 points. The C Division Boston College's
Wade Waddell and
Emma Perry pointed 35 points for the win, while Harvard was second with 53 points.
George Morris Regatta
Results
Boston College won the George Morris Regatta hosted by Boston University. The Eagles posted 63 points for the win while Tufts was second with 78 points and Brown placed third with 79 points.
The Eagles A Division team of
Henry Dumke and Lauren Seigel placed second with 34 points, while Brown on the division with 29 points.
Peter Lynn and
Katharine Bowman won the B Division with 29 points. Tufts was second with 32 points and BU placed third with 34 points.
