Stokes Hall Receives Architecture Award

Stokes Hall exemplifies the Collegiate Gothic tradition of architecture.

Stokes Hall, the new humanities center on Middle Campus, received a Bulfinch Award from the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art New England chapter. Designed by Tsoi/Kobus & Associates, Stokes Hall features 36 new state-of-the-art classrooms and houses the Classical Studies, English, History, Philosophy, and Theology Departments as well as the Academic Advising Center, College of Arts and Sciences Honors Program, and Office of First Year Experience.

The Bulfinch Award recognizes the best work of individuals who contribute to the creation of classical and traditional architecture. Stokes Hall won in the Large Commercial/Civic/Institutional/Ecclesiastic category.
