Sue Ramsey, director of Gift Planning, returned to her alma mater in August 2008 to join the University Advancement team. She oversees all aspects of the Gift Planning program and works closely with donors, their advisors, staff, and University leadership to increase philanthropic support to the University through legacy gifts. Prior to joining BC, Sue worked at Massachusetts General Hospital for 14 years in gift planning, leading MGH's program for six years. She is a past board member and past president of the Planned Giving Group of New England. Sue received her BA from Boston College in 1991 and co-captained the women's ice hockey team.

Cara Quackenbush |
Cara Quackenbush, associate director of Gift Planning, works with alumni and friends of Boston College to fulfill their philanthropic goals through estate planning and other creative financial planning techniques. Prior to joining BC’s Gift Planning team, Cara worked in the annual fund and in gift planning at her alma mater, Santa Clara University. Cara is currently completing her MBA at the Carroll School of Management.

Joan Reilly |
Joan Reilly is the Gift Planning program administrator. She serves as the interface among donors, the University, and State Street Global Advisors, the firm that invests and administers planned gifts to Boston College. Joan is the point of contact for executors and estate attorneys, and she coordinates and acknowledges gifts of stock to the University, supporting brokers in the process of making gifts of securities to the University. Joan earned her bachelor's degree from Regis College in 1973.

Jillian Fantozzi, Gift Planning administrator, manages stewardship events and activities and the day-to-day operations of the Office of Gift Planning. She came to Boston College from Massachusetts General Hospital. Prior to her career in development, Jillian worked as a paralegal at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Jillian earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston College in 2003 and is an avid football fan.

Thomas P. Lockerby is vice president for development and Light the World Campaign director. Thom came to BC from Dartmouth College, where he served as director of gift planning. Thom has spent his entire career working in or consulting with charities, primarily focusing on major and planned gift fund raising. Prior to joining Dartmouth, he was a relationship manager at Kaspick & Company, an investment firm specializing in charitable trusts and endowments. He has also served as vice president at PG Calc Incorporated, a development software company, and director of development relations at Harvard Business School. Thom has made presentations to regional and national conference audiences, and his articles have appeared in Planned Giving Today and the Journal of Gift Planning. He is a past president of the Planned Giving Group of New England and currently serves on the boards of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning and Polaris Project. Thom is a graduate of Harvard College. |
