Also known as planned gifts, legacy gifts provide Boston College with the fiscal strength and security required for continued growth, ensuring—among other things—that BC remains a leader in need-blind admission, continues to hire renowned faculty, and pursues important interdisciplinary research in both the sciences and the liberal arts.
Legacy gifts enable donors to establish a meaningful and permanent connection to BC. They are also a sensible philanthropic investment. Many gifts provide immediate and valuable tax benefits and a secure income stream that lasts a lifetime.
The most common legacy gifts are beneficiary designations of a retirement plan or life insurance policy, or bequests made in a will. There are many additional ways to make a difference, and the Office of Gift Planning will gladly work with you to find an option that is right for you.
