BC Memories from participating BC alumni:
Daniel Briody ’93
"My niece and nephew are both applying to BC this year. While they were asking me about the school, I told them something that I think all high school seniors should think about. Your undergraduate college is something that will follow you the rest of your life. You'll repeat its name to countless friends, acquaintances, colleagues and prospective employers. And I'm always eager to share the fact that I went to Boston College with people. Because I'm proud of having gone there."
Neal ’71 and Kathleen Schiller ’72
"Neal and I met at BC in 1968 and we have been a couple ever since those days, marrying in 1973.Our academic education with the infusion of strong moral Jesuit values has been an important influence and support in our personal lives, our careers, and in the raising of our sons. Thank you BC!"
Soren Lagaard ’08
"One time, Professor Lawrence came 20 minutes late to class. This was very unusual for him—he was always to class on time. While he was slightly disheveled and slightly flighty, he still managed to teach an effective lesson about European Politics. At the end, he announced he had been late to class because his child had just been born! That's the dedication of the faculty of Boston College. I am slowly realizing what a privilege it was to be among and learn from such dedicated and passionate people."
Wendy Estela Scaringe ’97
"My experience volunteering at the border in Tijuana, Mexico, with the Ignacio Volunteers during Christmas break senior year was nothing short of life-changing. BC and the Jesuit tradition inspired me to find ways—even small ones—to give back to my community every day."
Allison Ramirez ’07
"The Pedro Arrupe trips at Boston College changed the course of my life. I feel I am still reaping the benefits of what I learned on my 2005 trip to Guatemala and I am happy to support others taking that step."
