As graduates of a Jesuit, Catholic University we share a special commitment not to live for ourselves alone. We recognize that we are called to share our time, talent, and resources with the world around us.
It is a lifetime commitment—a commitment worthy of St. Ignatius' call to go "transform the world." The need is all around us. Here are just a few opportunities for service to consider:
Global Day of Service
BC alumni worldwide will unite to perform service projects in their communities. These service opportunities, both big and small, are a chance to reconnect with fellow classmates, make new friends, and share in the Jesuit ideals that are central to Boston College’s mission
Other Service Opportunities:
Heading Home, Boston, MA
Helps homeless families transition into permanent homes. Needs volunteers to help move furnishings into houses.
Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly, Jamaica Plain, MA

Ignatian Volunteer Corps, New England
This national organization recently opened a New England office. It needs volunteers age 50 and older to make a one year committment to volunteer a couple of days a week at non-profit groups in Boston, Worcester and Rhode Island.
