Councils and Affinity Groups

By tapping into our alumni’s shared passions and interests, Boston College’s Alumni Association’s affinity groups provide an avenue for alumni and friends to connect to each other and the University in deep and meaningful ways. Groups are based on specific areas of interest, which can be academic, cultural, professional, social, or spiritual.

The Council for Women of Boston College

Founded in 2002, the Council for Women of Boston College (CWBC) aims to increase the involvement and influence of alumnae in all aspects of life at Boston College. AHANA Alumni Council

AHANA Alumni Council

Promoting the involvement of African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian-American, and Native American (A.H.A.N.A.) alumni in the life of the University, AHANA is more than an acronym. The term establishes an ideology and connection between students of color at BC who represent communities from all over the world and yet share a similarity in their cultural histories, traditions, and experiences. The Real Estate Council

The Real Estate Council

The Real Estate Council was founded in 1983 when John M. Corcoran approached then president of Boston College, J. Donald Monan, S.J., to start a unique council of Boston College alums who were involved in real estate.  The council’s mission is to provide financial support for the University programs and an opportunity for networking amoung council members. The Boston College Technology Council was established in 2001 by University Trustee Peter W. Bell '86 and Daniel J. Nova '83. The council's mission is to support Boston College in its endeavor to become a significant leader in the business of technology while providing networking and social opportunities for alumni in the technology community. Wall Street Council

Wall Street Council

The Boston College Wall Street Council was formed to create a formal network of BC alumni, parents, and friends in the financial profession, within to develop collaborative relationships and foster greater synergy between the University and the financial community. It also promotes the recruitment of BC students at some of the most prestigious financial organizations on Wall Street and funds the Presidential Scholars program.
