On the occasion of the University’s 132nd Commencement, the Boston College community is invited to attend a very special evening of music and celebration with the Boston Pops!
Boston College Family Night at the Pops is an annual University tradition, with all of the members of the BC community and their families invited to Symphony Hall to delight in the music of the Boston Pops. Nationally known and locally treasured, the Boston Pops provides music lovers in Boston and throughout the country the chance to hear good music in all its varied flavors. Guests of all ages are invited to attend Boston College Family Night at the Pops; this event is also particularly popular with the parents of graduating seniors.

Q: How do I purchase tickets?
A: You may order your tickets online. Please note that Visa and MasterCard are the only acceptable forms of payment. Please send an e-mail to familypops@bc.edu or call 617-552-3469 with any additional questions. (Parents of seniors—please see the next question.)
Q: My son/daughter is a member of the class of 2008. Are there any special discounts for our family?
A: The University is offering parents of BC seniors a discount off orchestra seating for the concert. This price is valid only for a limited number of seats that are located on the floor in the front section of the hall. The discounted ticket price for these seats is $60 (regularly $90). In order to obtain this discount, you must call 617-552-3127; orders placed using the online registration form are not eligible for this discount. Other seating is available for purchase at full price. All tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Q: Are tickets available for disabled guests?
A: Yes. Tickets are available for patrons with physical disabilities. Please call 617-552-3469 for more information.
Q: Who can attend Family Night at the Pops? And must I purchase a ticket for my student?
A: Family Night at the Pops is open to the entire Boston College community and members of their family. The event is especially popular with parents of graduating seniors. All guests, including BC students, will need a ticket to the concert.

A: Tickets for Family Night at the Pops will be mailed the first week in May.

A: Maps of both orchestra seating and balcony seating at Symphony Hall are available.
Q: What is the recommended dress for Family Night at the Pops?
A: The recommended dress for Family Night at the Pops is business attire.
Q: What is the difference between a seat on the orchestra floor and a seat in the balconies?
A: During Pops concerts, a limited menu and beverage services are available at table seating on the orchestra level. For those guests seated in the balconies, beverages can be purchased in the lounge areas of Symphony Hall during intermission.

A: The concert will begin promptly at 8:00 p.m. and last approximately two hours.
Q: Is this the same event as Pops on the Heights?
A: No. Pops on the Heights is an annual scholarship gala held on campus in Conte Forum. This year, Pops on the Heights is scheduled to take place on September 26, 2008. For more information, visit the Pops on the Heights website.

A: Exuberant energy, bewildering versatility, and a prodigious gift for both music and theater are but a few reasons Leonard Bernstein’s unparalleled legacy lives on today. Hear Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops celebrate his genius with selections from the ballet Fancy Free and the film score On the Waterfront, as well as John Williams tribute For Lenny. An ensemble cast featuring America’s most talented rising stars will sing selections from his Broadway musicals On the Town, Wonderful Town, and West Side Story. On this 90th anniversary of his birth, experience how Bernstein’s generosity of spirit touched millions of people.

A: All tickets to Family Night at the Pops are assigned seats. The tickets are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. If you need to add a ticket to your order, please call 617-552-3469, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
