More than 300 families serve on the Parents' Leadership Council (PLC), which provides unique opportunities for BC parents to engage with University leadership and meet other families who share a love for Boston College.
Here are some ways PLC members support BC:
- Contact new parents in early fall to welcome them into the BC family.
- Host a First Year Sendoff, game watch, BC parent reception, or other event.
- Contribute expertise on a wide range of University priorities, from campus planning to academic initiatives, in partnership with BC leadership and other parents, alumni, and friends.
- Serve as an ambassador for Boston College, sharing the "parent perspective" with University leaders and talking about BC’s mission and accomplishments with friends, colleagues, and other families.
Council members receive invitations to special events throughout the year featuring key BC leaders including University President William P. Leahy, S.J., Provost David Quigley, and others.
All members of the council have made a significant commitment to Boston College and are members of the 1863 Society's Gasson Circle, which recognizes annual gifts of $10,000 or more.
Thank you to all our current Parents' Leadership Council members. We greatly appreciate your commitment and support of the University and its students.
