On Eagles' Wings

online prayer request program

Welcome to
On Eagles' Wings

The Boston College Alumni Association is pleased to offer On Eagles' Wings, a confidential online prayer request service for alumni, parents and friends of Boston College.

Each week we will bring your prayer requests and intentions to St. Joseph's Chapel in Gonzaga Hall and offer them to the Lord on your behalf. We will then light a special votive candle, and the living flame of our Alumni Association's maroon and gold prayer candle will burn for all the intentions we receive during the week.

Eagle
Stained Glass Window, Trinity Chapel, Newton Campus. In the book of Revelation, the visionary sees about the throne of God four winged creatures: a lion, an ox, a man, and an eagle. It has customarily been supposed that these represent the four Gospels, or the four Evangelists. The eagle stands for John, whose narrative begins in Heaven, with the eternal Word.

"Though the young faint and grow weary,
and youths stagger and fall,
they that hope in the Lord
will renew their strength,
they will soar with eagles' wings;
They will run and not grow weary,
walk and not grow faint."

—Isaiah 40: 30-31
