Reunion Weekend

frequently asked questions

How do I register?

Reunion brochures containing registration forms were mailed in March. There are two methods of registration once you have received the brochure:

1) You may register for all of the events and housing online. Go to www.bc.edu/reunion and complete our online form. Credit card payment only.

2) Mail the completed form to:

Reunion Weekend Registration
Boston College Alumni Association
825 Centre Street
Newton, MA 02458

Do I have to register, or can I pay at the door?

There will be no event registration at the door for ticketed events. All events must be registered and paid for in advance.

Will I receive tickets?

No registration will be issued for any event. Your color-coded nametag will grant you admission to all events for which you have registered. If you’re staying on campus, you can pick up your nametag at the Reunion Information Center in the residence hall to which you’ve been assigned. Nametags can also be picked up at each paid event.

Will I receive event registration confirmation?

All attendees who have specified an e-mail address will receive event confirmation by e-mail. All others will receive confirmation by mail at the address specified on the registration form. The event confirmation will be mailed separately from the housing confirmation. Event registration confirmations will be sent as soon as the registration is processed. Housing registration confirmations will be sent in late May as soon as all housing placements for all Reunion Weekend attendees are processed.

Who is required to pay the processing fee?

There is an event processing fee of $10 due for each event registration form submitted, with the exception of all post-50th Golden Eagle classes (1953 and beyond). You only need to pay the fee once.

How do I change or add to my registration once it is submitted?

To add an attendee or an event to a previously submitted registration, please call the Alumni Association at 800-669-8430 or 617-552-4700. All event registrations are nonrefundable.

Where do I go if I need assistance?

Alumni Association staff will be clearly identified at each event; feel free to ask any staff member for assistance with any needs that may arise. Reunion Information Centers in each reunion residence hall will be staffed throughout the weekend at the days and hours listed in the Reunion brochure. Stop by our information booth on the Quad with any questions between events, or call our main number at 617-552-4700. For police emergencies, call 617-552-4444.

Can I receive a refund?

All event tickets are nonrefundable.

What should I wear?

A suggested dress code has been provided for each event on the schedule of events posted on the Web.

Where can I park?

Parking is available without a parking pass. Please park in the Beacon Street or Commonwealth Avenue parking garages. A limited number of handicap parking spaces are available throughout campus. Handicap registration plates or placards are required to use these spaces.

How do I get to and from events on campus?

Boston College shuttles will be available all weekend.

Is housing available on campus?

For your convenience, we have arranged to provide on-campus housing for all reunion classes during the weekend.

Where will I stay while on campus?

Dorms to be used during Reunion will be announced at a later date. Accommodations consist of four-, six- and eight-person suites. Classes will be grouped by floor. You will receive notification about your housing placement once rooms are assigned in May.

What should I bring to my suite?

Linens and towels are available, but other toiletries and incidentals are not provided.

Can my children stay overnight?

Due to limited space, we regret that we are unable to accommodate families in housing.

Can I reserve an entire suite or room for myself?

Due to limited space, you cannot reserve an entire suite for yourself. You will be placed with other classmates.

How does housing registration work with multiple suitemates?

If you wish to do this, you must fill all available spaces, provide the names of all guests and be sure to include payment for all guests. You are guaranteed housing for only those classmates for whom you have paid housing in full. Due to the high volume of those requesting accommodations, the Office of Residential Life is unable to reserve spaces without payment, and all spaces in a suite must be filled. If fewer than eight occupants are listed and paid, other classmates and guests will be placed in the suite to fill all available spaces.

Is housing available for guests?

Each alumna/us in a reunion class may bring one guest to stay on campus (a guest is considered anyone over the age of eighteen who is not in a reunion class).

When does housing check-in begin?

For the Class of 1958, housing check-in begins on Thursday, May 29, at 1:00 p.m. at 110 St. Thomas More Hall. For all other classes, check-in begins on Friday, May 30,  at 9:00 a.m. in the residence hall to which you have been assigned.
