There are numerous opportunities for career development at Boston College, specifically for AHANA students. 5. Do you have to be Catholic to feel accepted on campus?
While Boston College is a Jesuit university, you do not have to be Catholic to feel accepted on campus. As an institution of higher education, Boston College is committed to the discovery and transmission of knowledge. 6. Are there special housing arrangements or theme housing for students interested in cultural issues?
Yes there are! The Office of Residential Life offers students unique residential opportunities in the form of special interest housing. Each option is based on a particular theme that influences both the planned activities and the interaction among residents. The staff is specially trained to meet the needs of the residents. Residents are required to participate in a biweekly program/discussion and a monthly community building program. Students are also required to sign Living Agreements prior to moving into their room.

7. Are there fraternities and sororities on campus?
There are no fraternities or sororities on BC's campus. However, if interested, you can get involved in Greek lettered organizations throughout the city of Boston.

8. What should I do if I have special dietary needs?
The BC Dining Services employs three full time nutritionist to work with students individual needs appointments to discuss your dietary requirements.

9. Are there places I can go locally to buy ethnic products?
The city of Boston is host to a wealth of cultures and ethnicities. There are several privately owned shops and boutiques that will cater to almost anyone's individual needs, and they're are for the most part accessible by public transportation.

10. Are there local stylists that I can go to?
As with availability of ethnic products, there are numerous barber shops and beauty salons that cater to all hair types and are reputable establishments.
