"One of the great things about BC is that freshmen are encouraged to get involved in activities. I joined Learning to Serve, the Mentoring Leadership Program, and the Arts Festival. I became less homesick and met a lot of fantastic people. There are so many scholarly lectures, concerts, and events happening on campus that there's always something to do. The professors are very good about giving students one-on-one time. My "Perspectives" professor even invited the entire class to a barbecue at his house, where we talked about a lot of topics that went far beyond the classroom curriculum. "Perspectives" is a set of courses about the Great Books, music, and fine arts of Western Culture. BC is a competitive school but faculty and fellow students really help you to succeed."
