Alcohol and Drug Education Program

The Alcohol and Drug Education Program utilizes a comprehensive approach to addressing alcohol and other drug-related problems at Boston College and in the surrounding community. We encourage the university community to join with us through task forces and coalitions to employ multiple strategies including: 

  • providing education
  • changing the normative environment
  • promoting alcohol-free social options
  • reducing alcohol availability
  • developing alcohol policies and increasing the consistency of enforcement
  • reducing the marketing of alcohol
  • conducting early intervention
  • providing treatment

AlcoholEdu - Attention Freshmen!student
The online course, AlcoholEdu for College, must be completed by all freshmen between August 1st and August 22nd. More information will be sent to students via their BC email accounts around mid July.
