Alumni Stadium opened on September 21, 1957 as the Boston College eleven hosted Navy. An enlarged Alumni Stadium (capacity: 44,500) opened on September 17, 1994. The stadium has seen some notable triumphs, including a November victory over West Virginia last year that ensured BC's selection for a post-season bowl game.
